Greetings, good gentles! We give you good welcome to the Shire of Marion Glen. Come explore the enticing pages within, as we introduce you to our officers, bring you news of our shire's activities, and display some of our recent history.
Ours is a new shire of the Society for Creative Anachronism, yet we strive like others in Service to the Dream, to research and bring to life some of the more "romantic" aspects of the time between the fall of the Roman Empire and the Age of Enlightenment. We have as well joined with several of our sister shires in the group known as the Consortium of the Southern Marches--an extension of our shire's 'family'.
We make our home in the southeastern expanse of the continent of the New World, upon the seven hills known most generaly as Americus, GA, and have the honor of being within the reaches of the Kingdom of Meridies. Our good group of like-minded revelers gather on the second Wednesday of every month, after the seventh hour past noontide (7:30 PM). If you find yourself in the geographical and temporal vicinity, please do drop in. We like showing off to EVERYONE. Join us at the Lake House on the campus of Georgia Southwestern University.
We also meet on the occasional Sunday, at the second hour past noontide (2:00 PM), some of us to build our skills as fighters for the realm, ready to be called upon, and others to follow the more cultured pursuits of the arts and sciences. You are most welcome to join in our endeavors, and in the merrymaking as we partake of some repast and share the good company of our fellows.(Please see the activities page for further details.)
Welcome again to Marion Glen!
